Welcome to The Apple Museum, Europe’s largest tribute to the groundbreaking legacy of Apple Inc. Located at The Wall in Utrecht, the Netherlands, our museum celebrates the innovation, design, and people behind one of the world’s most influential technology companies.
As a non-profit ANBI Foundation, The Apple Museum exists to preserve and share this legacy with the public. We are here to stay, but to secure the museum’s future, care for the collection, and continue developing new exhibitions, we depend on income from visitors, supporters, donations, and partnerships.
The Making of The Apple Museum
Inspired by the visionary journey of Ed Bindels, from selling his first Apple computer as a teenager to establishing Amac, the largest Apple Premium Reseller in Europe, the museum embodies the same passion, innovation, and perfection that Apple itself represents. Yet, this ambitious project extends beyond the vision of one individual. It is the combined effort of more than 50 dedicated volunteers, including technicians, collectors, historians and storytellers, all driven by a shared enthusiasm to bring Apple’s history to life.
Together, we’ve meticulously curated thousands of items, including an extensive collection acquired from the former Apple Museum in Westerbork, laying the foundation for a truly exceptional visitor experience. Upon opening, visitors will explore interactive exhibits, engaging narratives, and a meticulously designed space spanning of 2000 square meters located in Utrecht, beneath Liemès at The Wall.
We warmly invite everyone, from dedicated Apple enthusiasts and curious newcomers to those inspired by groundbreaking human creativity, to join us soon in celebrating the fascinating story of Apple, one of the world’s most iconic and influential brands. Stay tuned as we prepare to open our doors and share this extraordinary journey with you. The best is yet to come.
The community behind the collection
The Apple Museum isn’t built by a corporation or a single curator, it’s built by people: collectors, technicians, designers, editors, and storytellers who pour their time and skills into preserving Apple’s history and making it come alive. More than 50 volunteers help restore vintage machines, catalog rare artifacts, research stories, and create interactive experiences so visitors can do more than just look, they can truly experience the past.
