BOOKS FOR APPLE ENTHUSIASTS
Our current bestseller is ICONIC, the ultimate coffee-table book for Apple fans. Written by Jonathan Zufi and edited by Sebastian Kadas, this beautifully designed, slipcased book presents almost 400 pages of exceptional photography covering more than 45 years of Apple design.
Over many years, Zufi photographed virtually every Apple product, taking more than 150,000 images of computers, accessories, packaging and rare prototypes. The result is a visual journey through Apple’s evolution in design, form and function—and a tribute to the engineers, designers, product managers and visionaries behind these products. The closest thing to our museum catalog. Originally €120, now only €50 in celebration of Apple’s 50th anniversary.
Also available is iCollect by Dutch collector and designer Nick Corpel. This 192-page visual archive documents ten years of collecting and presents vintage Apple computers, accessories and original packaging through specially created photography.
Apple: The First 50 Years by technology journalist and author David Pogue tells Apple’s complete story, from its beginnings in 1976 to its fiftieth anniversary. The richly illustrated book combines new interviews and historical insights with hundreds of colour photographs. The book will add an extra dimension to your museum visit.
SUSAN KARE
The museum shop stocks a selection of limited-edition giclée fine-art prints by Susan Kare, the legendary designer behind many of the original Macintosh icons.
Each print is hand-signed, numbered and dated by Susan Kare. The artwork is printed with archival ink on acid-free Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. Available sizes and edition quantities vary by design.
HERE’S TO THE CRAZY ONES
Our T-shirts and posters featuring the words of Apple’s famous Think Different campaign have quickly become popular with visitors.
The “Here’s to the crazy ones” text was developed by advertising creatives Rob Siltanen and Ken Segall at TBWA\Chiat\Day. Steve Jobs recorded his own narration of the text, which visitors can hear in our Think Different Tunnel. For the original television commercial, Apple ultimately chose the version narrated by actor Richard Dreyfuss.
New Apple Museum T-shirts and caps are currently in production and will soon be available in the shop.
