Op de dag dat Apple zijn vijftigste verjaardag vierde, opende in Utrecht het grootste Apple-museum van Europa. Met veel gevoel voor theater wordt een halve eeuw technologiegeschiedenis getoond met Steve Jobs in de hoofdrol.

The tech world changed forever when two college dropouts founded Apple on April 1, 1976. Fifty years later, a museum dedicated to the company’s history and evolution has opened in the city of Utrecht.

Europe’s largest Apple museum opened today at The Wall Utrecht in the Netherlands. The official opening coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of Apple, which was founded on April 1, 1976. The museum will open to the public on April 2. Spanning 2,000 square meters, the museum houses one of the largest Apple collections in the world and tells the story of the technology that has shaped our world.

Alors qu’Apple a célébré ses 50 ans mercredi 1er avril, la marque à la pomme a inauguré, dès le lendemain, un nouveau musée aux Pays-Bas.

Cinquante ans d’histoire pour la célèbre marque à la pomme. Depuis ce jeudi 2 avril 2026, le public peut découvrir à Utrecht, aux Pays-Bas, le plus grand musée Apple d’Europe.

Op de dag dat Apple precies vijftig jaar bestaat, is in Utrecht het Apple Museum geopend. Directeur Ed Benders leidt verslaggever Jasper Leegwater rond langs historische Apple-producten en nagebouwde woonkamers uit de jaren zeventig, tachtig en negentig. De collectie laat zien hoe onder meer schrijven, telefoneren, televisiekijken en muziek luisteren in de afgelopen vijftig jaar zijn veranderd. Een van de blikvangers is een ruimte met ongeveer 140 kleurrijke iMacs. Volgens Benders heeft Apple een belangrijke rol gespeeld in de geschiedenis van technologie en innovatie.
